About us

Harvest House Weddings...

Built in 1903 Harvest House has been a long established building within the community of Felixstowe, it was once the Felix Hotel which housed it's own tennis courts and it had its own exclusive area of the beach.  The tennis courts (now Felixstowe Tennis Club) and beach area have since been sold and the hotel has been developed into exclusive apartments.


In 2020 Harvest House would like to open it's doors to the public once again to offer bespoke, highend, distinctive weddings for couples to marry or have a civil partnership ceremony within the beautifully maintained Palm Court and enjoy an exquisite wedding breakfast within the Grand Dining Hall.

Harvest House Weddings will provide you and your guests with outstanding customer service, professional catering from JLS Catering and world class wine specially selected and supplied by the Wine Boutique.


Your evening function will take place at Felixstowe Lawn Tennis Club.  We will escort your guests to the evening function (only a 2 minute walk away) Decorations, disco and catering are included in the package.  The Tennis club have their own licenced bar.


Every aspect of your wedding has been carefully thought about and with the skills and experience of Claire at CMA Events we can offer you so much in one place.  We can guarantee a first class service in an outstanding Grade 2 listed building.

Exclusive Package - Suggested Timings


1.00pm     Groom (if applicable) arrives for ceremony, guests start to arrive

1.20pm     Bride (if applicable) arrives for ceremony

1.30pm     Ceremony

2.00pm     Welcome drinks and photos outside in the garden

2.30pm     Couple departs for private photographs, if required

3.30pm     Seat guests in the Dining Room

3.40pm     Announce the Happy Couple, bespoke meal begins

6.15pm     Start speeches & serve dessert

7.00pm     Couple leads the Lantern Lit walk to Felixstowe Tennis Club (5 minute walk)

7.30pm     Evening guests arrive

8.00pm     First Dance and Cut the Cake

9.00pm     Evening buffet is served

Midnight   Music finishes - bid farewell to guests

The  Wine Boutique have given us a lovely selection of house wine that you can offer your guests.

CMA Events are very excited and honoured to have been asked to take on the project of Harvest House Weddings.  CMA Events is run by Claire and although she has only just opened this business she has gained her experience and expertise by working with Let's Party Ltd for the past 22 years.  Claire has fond memories as a young child of visiting Harvest House, "it is still as impressive".  CMA Events will be with you every step of the way to ensure a personal, professional service.  They can even supply bridal flowers and extra venue decoration, along with sweet treats for the evening.

Dibbs and Carl from Bushfire Photography have been very supportive of our new venture.  Most of the pictures you see on our website have been skillfully taken by them.  They are our preferred photographers as we know the quality and service they provide are second to none.

Jamie Lee Smith Catering specialises in quality catering.  We have asked them to join us at Harvest House Weddings due to their enviable reputation for providing first class food with professional and comprehensive service.  They provide an outside catering service at many venues and pride themselves of their "personal service".  They will meet with our couples to ensure they provide a menu tailored specifically to our clients needs.

The Wine Boutique

At Harvest House Weddings we have chosen to not only work with suppliers that are expert in their trade, but also local to the area.  The Wine Boutique have carefully selected our house wine along with superb bottles for the welcome drinks and toasts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the timings for the day?

 Harvest House is available for you and your guests from 9.30am-7pm on the day of your wedding.  You will have your wedding ceremony in Palm Court and wedding breakfast in the Grand Dining Hall, you and your guests will join a Lantern lead parade to the Tennis Club which is a short walk away.  Our team will ensure all extras are transferred to the tennis club (wedding cake, guest book, wedding cards etc) You and your guests can then party the night away at the tennis club.

Is there accommodation on site?

Harvest House contains 60 private apartments.  There is no overnight accommodation, though we have good relationships with local hotels so can point you and your guests towards them.

Can we use our own caterers?

At Harvest House Weddings we are offering an exclusive wedding experience.  We have chosen our in-house caterers ‘Jamie Lee Smith Catering’ because of their outstanding service, quality and diversity.  This means they can cater for any style of wedding.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

Within our wedding packages we provide you with welcome drinks, wine for the meal and sparkling wine for the toast.  If you would like to bring in extra drinks to give to your guests, we are happy to discuss this with you.

What outside areas can we use?

If you are just having your wedding ceremony with us in Palm Court, you are able to walk through to the gardens for pictures against the incredible backdrop of Harvest House or overlook the beach.

If you are having the complete exclusive package you can use the garden for welcome drinks and pictures.  Palm Court, Grand Dining Hall, Conservatory and Garden will be available to you and your guests throughout your wedding day.

Can we bring our dogs?

Only assistance animals will be allowed in this venue. Exceptions can be made, please discuss this with Claire and her team.

Do we organise weddings?

Yes, we pride ourselves on helping our couples to plan their special day.  Claire and her team have many years of experience planning, decorating and attending weddings and functions.  We aim to provide everything within our packages.  All you will need to do is find, apart from the perfect partner! is your wedding dress/formalwear, the car and bridal flowers – all of which we can help you with by putting you in contact with our trusted suppliers.

Are fireworks, sky lanterns, candles permitted?

As this is also a privately owned residential venue we feel these would not be appropriate.  It is also a Grade 11 Listed building, so we are only allowing battery operated candles.

Is there parking available?

There will be, on the day of the wedding, a designated parking space for the registrar and happy couple.  There will be space for the wedding car and taxis to drop off and collect.   Full information will be given to the couple upon booking re guest parking details.

Is it ok to bring children?

Yes of course, we feel children are a big part of many weddings.  We will provide complimentary squash throughout the day for your little guests, along with a designated play area in the conservatory if you are having your wedding breakfast in the grand dining hall.

What is your capacity?

Palm Court and the Grand Dining Hall can hold up to 150+ guests, according to fire regulations.  The tennis club can hold up to 150 guests if the outside area is being used.
